Whis is this not OK?

Foot binding to prevent growth. The desirable length of a foot was 3 - 4 inches. This was symbol of beauty and often a requisite for getting a husband. The process was painful and left many women disabled.

Whi is this OK?

Now, I will confess that these are my shoes. I'm no better than the rest. But it makes you wonder why we subject ourselves to so much unnecessary distortion. We as women should rethink what gives us value, sexiness and confidence. And stop perpetuating these bad habits.
