Menopausal symptoms are due to a decline in estrogen. Many women are either afraid or confused by the reports and recommendations given even by their various physicians.
Yoga has become popular in the US. Many report improvement in a number of symptoms with an overall improvement in quality of life with regular yoga practice.
A recent case report looked at the estrogen levels of two healthy postmenopausal women before and four months after regular yoga practice consisting of two 1-hour sessions per week. Their estrogen levels increased markedly.
While this doesn't prove anything, more study regarding the effects of Yoga is certainly warranted.
