Do you think it is possible for a 20 year old woman to vaginally deliver a 7lb 8oz baby and 35 years later be unable to insert a device the size of an egg (similar to the picture) into her vagina?

Yes, it is possible and this happens to many women. Due to the decline in estrogen, the vagina becomes less elastic and dry. This can cause pain with penetration, leading her avoid sex. Many women accept this as inevitable - another sign of getting older.

It doesn't have to be this way. Frequent sexual activity helps to protect against these symptoms. Even if this has already happened to you, it's not to late. There are now multiple options. Just be brave enough to bring it up with your gynecologist or find one that can help.
